Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Which is the ancient process of presenting the truths of the faith which Christ taught His apostles, and which they (and their successors) have continued to teach through His church.

In ancient times Christian faith Formation and Initiation took place over a minimum of two years. Today RCIA begins in mid-September and runs through mid-April, when the Sacraments of Christian Initiation are celebrated at the Easter Vigil. After the reception of the Easter Sacraments, there are several follow-up gatherings leading up to Pentecost (the birthday of the Church, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles in the upper room).

RCIA Faith Formation meets at 6:30pm on Thursday evenings here at St. Jude Parish meeting in A108 room. All are welcome to join!

Call and sign up today! Classes start in early September each year. See Schedule
