World Record!

Did you know that fellow St. Jude parishioner just landed a World Record? It's true!

Brian Lock just completed the fastest marathon while dribbling a soccer ball. His time was 3:29:03, and if you're an avid marathon runner you know this is a good time WITHOUT dribbling a soccer ball. Lock did this event this past weekend at the Peoria Whiskeydaddle Marathon.

While doing this, Lock was raising funds for Imprint Hope, which provides life-changing physical aid to children with disabilities in Uganda. Here are the details and link where you can still give.

Here's the story behind Imprint Hope and how Lock selected this...

The race is over (and the record was set!), but so many have asked how they can support me that I've decided to keep the fundraiser open a little longer! If you didn't hear, I broke the world record for the "fastest marathon while dribbling a soccer ball" by 52 seconds! I was running in support of this fantastic charity, Imprint Hope, which provides life-changing physical aid to children with disabilities in Uganda. In this country, these kids are often seen as outcasts and completely disowned. Imprint Hope gives them purpose and helps restore them to their families. It was started not long ago by a friend's sister who courageously left the United States to do something great! I believe these kids, myself, and all of you are capable of doing something great also, which is why I made this effort. Please consider being a part of this record! Thank you for your support!

Check out some of the amazing photos of Lock running, er dribbling.

Congratulations, Brian Lock.
